   Solstice is one of those new bands you can literally feel the potential residing in, waiting to be unleashed. All the workings of a amazing but not quite realized album are on display here. Whoever this singer is (too lazy to look it up at the moment) has a fairly wide range, only clean vocals though, something that struck as odd yet unique /5(6).

   Lamentations is the debut album of the United Kingdom doom metal band Solstice. Originally released in through Candlelight Records, the album was re-released in as a double-LP edition of red vinyl copies and copies of black vinyl with a beer bag.

   Solstice is a very underrated band and it is one of the best Doom Metal bands ever. Doom Metal wouldn't be the same without this album, a sure influence for bands like Katatonia, Amorphis and much others. If you are a Black Sabbath fan, you HAVE to hear this album. A classic that will forever be remembered by myself. Excellent.5/5(1).
